I am arrogant enough to think that I have something valuable to say. That, and we've got AI now to do all the grunt work so I figured why not start a blog. I've got many interests and pretend talents, but one of my real passions is video games. I get to escape from the world in them, and I spend a lot of my free time with them. So I've created this site to record my thoughts and share them with the wide world. Hopefully you enjoy and excuse the obvious AI generated site. Ignore the skin and focus on the content, and leave a comment or two if you've got thoughts on my thoughts!

For a bit more context, I had the idea because I just might have some meaningful things to say, and it's interesting to me. Games are a hobby for me. They are an escape from the world. I have a lot of free time on my hands, so I tend to fill those spaces using gaming. I really enjoy talking about these things. I think that with all the tools we've got going on now... It's easier than ever to start a blog and get the content out and hopefully people will enjoy reading what I have to say.

The goal here is reaching an understanding of the thoughts and feelings that are evoked by the content I'm playing through. I want to let you, the reader, know what I think. I want people to expand their minds a little bit and hear my perspective. There's no specific agenda or theme. You’ll probably find this on Reddit and see if you really enjoy it, get on the distribution list.

I spend so much time interacting with this medium that I feel like I might as well try and get something out of it that's permanent. You play these things, you have experiences, but oftentimes you forget the emotions and the feelings that come up. Then a decade later you don’t even remember anything. So this is also a way to create an artifact that I can reference later on. Look back on and see. .

So how we’re getting started: I plan to deliver reviews, thoughts, and ideas on all sorts of games I’ve played, but right now we’re going to start with my play-through of the most recent Dragon Age title.

Why Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Well, its reputation is not great, and my curiosity got the best of me, I want to try the game out for myself and see what the experience is all about. The perspectives I have heard on this game are typically toxic, perhaps a consequence of the internet in 2025. People obviously feel quite passionately about these games, and we’ll see if the rancor is well deserved. But nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems online, right?
